We are futureology

Futureology is a futurist & web3 arts collective with interdisciplinary artists Ace (two time Directors Guild Award Nominee and Webby Honouree) and A.Ray (“One to Watch”/finalist Best Creative Producer, B&T Women In Media Awards 2019) who have a collective background in art, technology, film, UX design, law, theatre, startups, innovation, VR story design, game design, social change and sustainability. We seek to explore visions of future worlds across mediums and in the emerging web3 space.

The Metaverse Store - EST 2042- is our first art exhibit and installation housed in a real world retail store exploring what might surprise or terrify us about the newly evolving Metaverse, set against a backdrop of a planet in recovery 20 years from now.

About the artists

Interdiscplinary artist, Ace draws on his experience as a creative technologist, designer, filmmaker and growing up as an Australian migrant to fuel his passion for storytelling. He is a two time Directors Guild Award Nominee and AIMIA Award winner for his work in innovative storytelling. He holds a Master's of Design from UNSW College of Fine Art.

A.Ray is an interdisciplinary artist, and storymaker with a passion for future world building. She developed her creative skills studying at the Victorian College of the Arts and working for 7 years as a theatre performer, writer and actor, co-devising works with artist collectives and professional experimental theatre companies. She has also had a 15 year career in law and advocacy working as US campaign director for worldwide anti-poverty campaign, Global Citizen. Inspired by the power of story, technology and business to be forces for change, she began working on company culture transformation programs with global organisations as a writer/producer and on documentary, webseries and podcast projects focused on themes of empathy, post life consciousness and technology. She associate produced The Space Between, Australia's first Italian/Australian co-production which was the official Australian entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 2017 Oscars. A.Ray is driven by curiosity, empathy and the power of human creativity to forge a better world. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Law / Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and studied Dramatic Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts.
